The induction opens with embedded commands that direct the client to relax and close their eyes. Flowing language assures them that they don't need to make a conscious effort to absorb the words they're hearing, the lessons from the session will become a part of their unconscious mind without work on their part.

The client is guided to pinpoint which part of their body feels the most relaxed, and to imagine that feeling spreading throughout the being, like a color that imbues them with "peace and tranquillity."

The client is asked to picture themselves floating outside of their body until they can see themselves floating through a clear sky into a different place. An embedded command instructs the client to relax more deeply and leads them into a trance state.

The client is reminded that resourcefulness is "not just effort" but that it also involves examining the landscape with an open mind to discover possibilities and resources that are immediately present and may be of use.
