Help Overwhelmed Clients Find Control with the Calm in a Storm Hypnosis Script

With the demands of modern life, it's easy for people to feel overwhelmed. Stress from work, family, and outside forces can cause a severe mental strain on people, giving them the impression that they're barely coping.

The induction opens by using an embedded command that directs the client to "let go". Through flowing language, the client is lulled into a calm state as they are reminded that they don't need to try and relax. They are assured that they have the "natural capacity" to tap into an innate ability to enter a space of pure calm.

The focus turns to the breath, and the client is encouraged to take deep breaths and slowly exhale. With every exhale, the client is encouraged to slip further into a physically and mentally relaxed state. An embedded command directs the client to "breathe a deep sigh of relief" as a way of signalling to their body and mind that they're ready to fully relax.

The client is asked to picture a calming force moving through their body, like a "liquid light" that begins at the peak of their head and cascades through the body, softening muscles and instilling a deeper sense of relaxation. A progressive relaxation reinforces this concept.

The client is encouraged to recall a time they felt "deep rest and deep comfort." As they find and hold this memory, they are guided to allow the feeling to flow through their body. Embedded commands guide the client into a deep and relaxed trance state.

As the trancework begins, the client is led to picture people on a boat that is sailing on the water. As the boat continues its journey, it encounters a storm. The client is guided to imagine the sky darkening, thunder crashing, and massive waves rising up from the ocean.

While the scene scares the boat's passengers, the captain works with a "great purpose and energy" to calmly steer the boat through the sudden tempest that threatens the boat. An embedded command anchors the concept of the captain's "complete calm within" deep within the client's unconscious mind.
