Help Your Client Learn To Be A Leader

Being an effective leader doesn't always come naturally. Many clients wish they had the charisma and intelligence of great business leaders or politicians.

The Be A Leader Hypnosis Script from The Script Collection was conceived to help clients develop their innate leadership qualities so that they can effortlessly take the lead at work, in the community, at home, during a crisis, or whenever they might be required to step up.

In the pre-talk, the client learns the qualities of an effective leader. They are reminded that true leaders are influencers, not shouters, and that good leadership essentially comes down to two traits: confidence and calmness.

A classical induction is used to create a relaxing space for the client to drift into a suggestible state. They are encouraged to recall times when they've had ample mental space to relax completely. They are guided to feel the relaxation spreading throughout their bodies until they are completely absorbed by tranquility.

Through flowing language, the client is guided to a prehistoric time, encountering their ancient ancestors gathered around a fire. They are asked to stare deeply into the fire and notice its mesmerizing fluctuations while a drum beats steadily in the background, focusing their attention and deepening their trance.

Now the client is directed to imagine a scene forming within the flames - to see a tree, a blue sky, then a path winding to the foot of a mighty mountain. As they merge into this realm and walk the path, they come to realize that it is only by reaching the summit that they can truly understand the lay of the land - a metaphor for the need to attain a calm, objective overview of a situation in order to understand and respond to it.

Once atop the mountain, the client is asked to broaden their awareness to see how the landscape fits together as they survey the entire land, as far as the eye can see. Building on this sense of calm clarity and awareness, the client's focus is now shifted to noticing how great leaders throughout history have inspired followers and brought people together to accomplish great things. The client is asked to focus on one particular leader and to observe everything about them that makes them so effective.

Slowly, the client is guided to merge with this leader, to experience what it feels like to lead by relying on a natural force inside themselves. As this leader, they think calmly and logically, delegate tasks, take charge, and act with serene decisiveness.

It is suggested that the client can now fully integrate these attributes, to take them on as their own. A description of "a tingling, comfortable warmth" spreading through their body gives a physicality to this experience.

Embedded commands instruct the client to bring these skills with them into a situation in their own life where they need to step into a leadership role. They are encouraged to fully experience and enjoy the strength of their newfound leadership skills, then to step outside of themselves and see their power and ability from a new perspective, noticing the effect it has not just on themselves but also on those around them. From afar, they see themselves using body language and vocal inflections inspired by their chosen leader.

Finally, the client merges back into themselves again, "discovering who [they] are now as a true leader," and revelling in the group unity they are now naturally able to achieve through both words and body language.
