The client is taken through a brief progressive relaxation, and asked to momentarily picture the face of a loved one. As they do, an embedded command anchors the concept of "connecting" deep in the client's unconscious mind.

As the trancework begins, the client is guided to recall a time of lovingness they've experienced, such as looking into the eyes of a giggling baby, spending time with an important pet, or hugging someone close to them. They are guided to recall every sense of this moment, and notice what it felt like to be in the present moment. An embedded command directs the client to merge into the moment.
