Stop Thinking About That Someone and Let Go of Unfinished Business

Hypnosis can help you focus your attention in more positive ways

Stop Thinking About Someone

Have you been constantly thinking about a particular person?

Do you feel like you can't move on until you've had closure?

The harder you try, the more they invade your thoughts. People say it will take time, but you think it's already taken too long and you want to stop being constantly reminded of them.

But why can't you stop thinking about them?

There are many reasons why it can be hard to get a person out of your head. It could be someone who:

  • You have a crush on
  • Broke your heart
  • Wronged you
  • You feel guilty about

No matter what the reason is, such strong feelings can trigger compulsive thoughts.

Unfinished business is very seductive

If something is incomplete, our brains find it incredibly addictive. We long for complete endings to stories and answers to unanswered questions.

And so if the mind has any 'downtime', it will immediately switch back to that unfinished story to try and work out what happend.

But obsessing about unfinished business is unhealthy and ultimately doesn't achieve anything positive.

How to let go and move on with hypnosis

Stop Thinking About Someone is an audio hypnosis session that will help you move on from the thoughts that have been constantly pestering you.

As you relax and listen repeatedly to your session, you'll notice that you:

  • Feel more detached and objective about the person
  • Are able to put these obsessive thoughts behind you
  • Start to enjoy more and more time without thinking about them
  • Can focus more on new and exciting opportunities

The fact that you're listening to this session means that there are at least two things you've probably been experiencing:

  1. You've been repeatedly thinking about a particular person.
  2. You've been experiencing strong emotions about that person.

It doesn't matter whether it's someone you have a crush on, someone who broke your heart, someone who wronged you, or someone you feel guilty about for some reason. The important thing is that your feelings about this person are triggering compulsive thoughts.

Perhaps you have a sense that there's unfinished business between the two of you, and something needs to be resolved before you can move on. Maybe you find it hard to accept what happened in the past, and you feel like things should be different from how they are now.

The brain finds the experience of something being incomplete incredibly seductive and addictive. This is what keeps people watching soap operas, as there's always a cliffhanger at the end of each episode. That unresolved storyline creates an itching, needy desire to find out how it will be reconciled.

Similarly, slot machines are one of the most addictive forms of gambling because the brain is constantly hunting for patterns in the random symbols. It unconsciously tries to figure out why the player sometimes wins and sometimes loses. Before long, the person becomes so caught up in trying to solve this "puzzle" that they end up putting far too much money into the machine, always feeling they're "almost there," just about to win.

In the same way, the feeling that there's unfinished business between you and someone else can be a trap that keeps you obsessing over them.

Of course, when there's something simple and obvious you can do to reconcile with that person or to make a clean break, it makes sense to try doing so. But sometimes, there's truly nothing left to do but let go and move on, so you can finally free yourself from those obsessive thoughts.

The deeply relaxing hypnotic part of this session will help you do this in three ways:

  1. Calming Emotional Charge: It will help you calm down the emotional charge associated with that person so you feel more neutral, detached, and objective. Once an intrusive thought loses its emotional charge, it simultaneously loses its power over you. You'll naturally find yourself no longer thinking about it because it becomes trivial and meaningless.
  2. Symbolic Closure: This session will send a powerful symbolic message to your unconscious mind that this is now finished business. You're done with this person, and you can put it all behind you.
  3. Redirecting Focus: It will guide you to focus your attention on more positive and fulfilling directions. You'll begin to see exciting new opportunities opening up in your future and start meeting your physical and emotional needs as a human being.
