Too much thought and not enough feeling can make someone seem cold, calculating, flat and un-empathetic. But then an excess of feeling can render someone out of control, irrational, chaotic and about as grounded as a balloon in a hurricane. Some people are just more emotional than others and we all tend to ebb and flow between the extremes sometimes.
Picture a kind of neural seesaw. The more the 'emotional brain' is engaged, the lessthe 'thinking brain' can operate - some people can't even speak when they become terrified. The more we engage the 'thinking mind', the more control of feeling we have and the more 'diluted' emotion becomes. This is why counting to 10 when you're angry can help, because just the act of inwardly counting can generate enough 'thought' to dilute some of that feeling.
This isn't too say that thought and feelings can't blend, complement one another and work together too. How you talk to someone, the language you use and the way you use it can determine whether they think more or feel more. Which is very important information for advertisers, politicians, therapists, sales people... oh heck... everyone! This month's free audio insight How to use your language to affect thought and feeling explains exactly how to do that.
How can I be sure I make the right decision? This question plagues us when important choices lie ahead, and being able to handle the pressure and make good decisions is a vital skill. This month we have upgraded and improved our Making big decisions download to help anyone who's worried about getting it right. Also out this month we have Speak up in class (kids) for parents who want to help their child flourish early on by learning confidence in speaking up during their formative years. There's also Better hypnotic subject for those who wish to improve upon their natural capacity to enter hypnotic trance.
But I want to focus on the ideas, psychology and creativity that went into the making of three specific sessions in this month's new batch. Read Downloads Unwrapped below to get more of an insight into creating effective hypnosis downloads.
All the best,

Mark's Tip for the Top
My selection this month for my personal favourite is Plan your future, not just because I find it so hypnotic, relaxing and fun but also out of a sense of loyalty, because this approach to future planning was what enabled us to build both Uncommon Knowledge and Hypnosis Downloads.com
New Audio Insight
March's no-cost audio insight is How to use your language to affect thought and feeling which explores how to change your communication to enhance either the emotional or the thinking experience of the person you are talking to.

About HypnosisDownloads.com
HypnosisDownloads.com was created by the two of us - Roger Elliott and Mark Tyrrell - to provide a readily accessible source of high quality hypnosis to cover a whole range of situations that can affect everyday life and which could be used by professional therapists and individuals for self hypnosis.
As the founders of Uncommon Knowledge we train therapists in the latest methods. Not everybody has the time or the inclination to undergo this level of training but the beauty of hypnosis is that basic skills can be acquired quickly. HypnosisDownloads.com helps you do that.
Can we help you do something?
