My love married someone else

My ex and I were together for one year. We had a lot of breakups during this year, always from my side. But he always came back to me. The last time was different; we had a fight and I sent him a message that I regret. After that, he told me that we can't be together anymore. This was the first time he broke up with me. I tried to get him back, but it didn't work. Three months later, I found out he got married.

I really love him. I know it's my fault because my actions pushed him away. Now I want to get him back, but I don't know how. Sometimes I tell myself he didn't love me because if he did, he wouldn't have gotten married that soon. Then I remember how I used to break up with him and he used to come back to me and tell me he loved me. Even on the day he broke up with me, he told me that the love and care he had for me will always remain.

I'm really confused. I want to move on, but I can't. I really need your help...

Thank you for writing in. He really did get married fast, didn't he? I must say that I wonder whether he had met his current wife before, because marrying three months after your breakup is really fast. Even without the whirlwind marriage, it sounds to me as if he really has made up his mind this time.

I know it is tough for you, but maybe he could no longer take the stress of continually breaking up and getting back together. You were only together for one year, yet in that short time it sounds like you had many breakups. That in itself tells me things were not right in this relationship.
