Help? No more drunk texting

I want to be as ambiguous as possible since this is my problem in life itself. What I'm looking for is something that works immediately (next couple weeks) then invest thereafter in more. (Please rank them by numbers)

Recently, I was pending on a decision and found out that I was shortlisted. A couple days later, I drank alot and had the brillant idea of sending a personalized/assertive follow-up email, which I scheduled for the next day so I could fail to cancel it. (Think of drunk texting going good.)

A couple days later, I received notice that I was moved forward and as I spoke with the other person, I realized that the follow-up email was what moved me forward and more.

Great news for me. However, I want to avoid becoming some sort of Alcoholic and be able to do whatever I did without drinking. What could I use?
