Jealousy and needing reassurance from a partner

Have a client who is in a newish relationship, had previous bad relationship when his girlfriend cheated on him.
He finds he needs reasurance from his new partner that he is loved and that they are going to stay together. And gets jealous when she talks to her ex-partner and male friends.
