Obsessive compulsive disorder

My 13-year-old daughter every night before bed has to go around the house locking all the doors and windows and checking under the beds, couches, behind curtains, afraid that someone has hidden in the house or will invade the house and harm her. She has had an image of a man standing over her bed with a knife and she wakes up and he is going to kill her. She is terrified and cries due to the exhaustion of it all and the lack of feeling peace and safety.
