Lying and deception

I have trouble being honest and authentic. I tell myself it's avoidant behavior. I hide money from my spouse. I lie about bills. I tell long, drawn-out stories about how I got money and even when asked for honesty, I lie. It seems there is nothing my wife can do or say that will entice me to be honest.
