When change is needed, but not wanted.

Anonymous's picture

Summary: The way you live your life is obviously leading to disaster, but right now it is easy and comfortable. You avoid examining or thinking about it, because it is unpleasant and invites more work. You want the problems to go away while keeping the lifestyle that caused them.

Specific Problems: Lazy (relaxation/entertainment addiction), passive, procrastinator, unmotivated, unambitious, goal-less, undriven, a quitter, bad work attitude, pessimistic, indecisive, selfish, stubborn, narrow comfort zone, unrealistic expectations of self, fear of making mistakes, social anxiety, judgemental, overly critical, etc.

Some potentially effective downloads for multiple issues:

  • Be More Mature
  • Face Your Problems
  • Reinvent Yourself
  • Method Acting (solve your issues by being someone else?)
  • Self Discipline
  • Recommendations or suggestions?

    Hi there,

The way you've written this, it sounds like you're talking about changes you'd like to see in someone else. It's hard to force someone else to change if that person doesn't want (on some level) to change themselves.

That said, the downloads you've already listed are some good choices if the person is willing to try to make changes. Although I don't think I'd recommend Method Acting.

    I hope that helps.

    Best wishes,

    Rebekah
