Taking what I want

I met a guy in the last month, and really admired how he decides to put himself first and take what he wants out of life. He want to make sales, talk to a girl and invite her to a date, buy some stuff! He just does it (even sometime he doesn't care about the other person!)...
It's not that I want to stop caring about other people's need, but I would like to put myself first and take what I want out of life!
