Functional nightly reflux - lower esophageal sphincter communication

Anonymous's picture

I would like to know if there is a specific hypnotreatment to regulate the function and the communication between the stomach and the lower esophageal sphincter. So far, in my case, I would say it opens too often or does not close tightly enough; that's why I suffer from nightly reflux, which then causes mucus to get in my lungs and my throat being red all the time.

I saw there is a download, but it's more about eating less stressfully and generally keeping down the stress. Not so much specifically about the communication between organs.

I do eat healthy and slowly and have a very restricted diet, leaving out all of the stuff that could trigger reactions. I am slim and do not overeat. I never have reflux after eating, just in the night after a couple of hours of sleep. I sleep on my belly. For almost two years, I had the upper part of the bed 20cm higher than the foot part; didn't help at all. I had medication to restrict acid production, but this worsened everything.

Any suggestions?

Hi there,

Firstly, my apologies for the delay in responding. This section of the site was having technical difficulties, it took our IT team some time to find and fix the problem, and I'm working through the backlog as quickly as I can. :)

Unfortunately, we do not have a download that specifically addresses training your sphincter to close more tightly. You can suggest this as a new download topic if you'd like. In the meantime, I'm not sure what to suggest, since you say you've already had a look at the indigestion download, so I'm going to leave this open to the community and also consult with Mark to see if he has any ideas. But since this form won't submit unless I select at least one download, I've linked to a few downloads that might help in tangentially related ways.

Best wishes,

Rebekah
