Don't Let an Anxiety and Panic Attack Control Your Life

When you are in the midst of one, there is nothing worse that an anxiety and panic attack. Waves of intense fear wash over you, your heart races, your pulse pounds, and you truly believe you are going to die. You might think you're crazy or that you're having a heart attack.

Many people think their anxiety and panic attack is the result of something physically wrong with them. But the reality is, most attacks are the result of repressed, unresolved emotions. So if you have emotional issues you have never dealt with, you could be a candidate for an anxiety and panic attack.

Fortunately, help is available. There are a number of ways to treat an anxiety and panic attack. One is through humor. In humor therapy, you are asked to remember a situation that was so funny you could not control your laughter. Then, when the symptoms of an attack come over you, you go back in your mind to that humorous situation. Anxiety causes stress hormone levels to rise and laughter brings them back down again.

Another way to treat an anxiety and panic attack is through hypnosis. With hypnosis, you can learn to relax when the symptoms of an attack come upon you. You learn how to control your body by controlling your mind.
