Angry 4-year-old yelling

I have a 4-year-old son who yells all the time. He's always mad at someone or something. His words are full of spite and anger. He's defiant and yells NO when asked to do something. He often hits.

That certainly sounds like a difficult situation. Of course, toddlers sometimes go through periods of difficult behavior like this as they start to test boundaries.
