There are so many stress management books our there that it can be hard to choose
which one is right for you. Use any search engine or go to Amazon or Barnes and Noble
and the list seems endless. So what do you look for when choosing a good stress
management book?
First, take a look at the author. What credentials does he or she have? Maybe he or
she has a degree in psychology, or maybe he's someone who has a great deal of
experience in dealing with stress and has a new stress management technique. Just
make sure the author is someone you can trust and identify with.
Take a look at the subject matter. A stress management book for work issues isn't
likely to help you with stress in your personal life. And some books are geared
specifically toward women. If you go to a bookstore, take the time to browse through
the book, rather than just grabbing one off the shelf. Most online bookstores have
a table of contents and even a sample chapter for you to look though. Make sure the
subject matter relates to your particular needs. You might even ask a friend or
someone you trust for a recommendation.
